Adventure Vacations with Romance in Belize, why not….
Adventure with romance a good combination for active travelers. If you enjoy a vacation with a little adventure, why not spice up your vacation with a little romance mixed into the day-to-day fun. A soft adventure sports vacation located in Belize or Costa Rica can get the heart pounding from the adrenaline that can flow from the fun activities that take you away from your daily routines. The best vacations for active couples and honeymooners are to allow plenty of opportunities to participate in activities to make you and your companion feel de-stressed and fun. One of the soft adventure actives that each partner can enjoy is a sightseeing day at one at the largest Mayan Ruins in or near Belize and diving in some of the clearest waters in Central America off the coast of Ambergris Caye Belize.
Belize has an abundance of Mayan Ruins to see and explore and one of the best ruins to visit is just across the border in Guatemala. Tikal is located in Tikal national Park, in Northern Guatemala a short drive from the Belize boarder is situated in an area of 222 square miles. The park is the largest excavated site in the American continent located in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by lush vegetation lies on of the major sites of the Mayan civilization. Tikal is the ruins of an ancient city found in a rainforest in Guatemala and is one of the largest archaeological sites and of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization. Tikal was the capital of one of the most powerful kingdoms of the ancient Maya. The architecture at the site dates back to the 4th century BC. During this period, Tikal dominated much of the Maya politically, economically, and militarily era. A 1-2 days excursion to Tikal allows travelers to explore this vast national park while climbing up to peak of many of the majestic temples.
After a full day climbing and walking around this magnificent nation park, relax and enjoy the ambiance of a luxury jungle lodge just across the boarder in Belize in the Cayo district. We have 4 or 5 jungle lodges in the Cayo District that are our favorite resorts to work with. Here you can stay in a luxury Tree House and enjoy the amenities these lodges provide. You don’t want to compromise you experience staying in a sub-standard resort, you want accommodation in the Jungle and Beach that are recognized as award-winning resorts.
The next day you may want to kayak down the macaw river or go to one of the most unique cave adventures around, Barton’s Creeks cave adventure or the ATM Cave Adventure. A trip to Belize is not complete unless you spend time on the beach either diving, snorkeling, fishing or just relaxing. Belize has many beach resorts and spas adventure activities that can set the mood for romance. Belize is a small country that bordered by Mexico and Guatemala and home to the world’s second largest barrier reef. Couples can explore this underwater world off the coast of Ambergris Caye, a 25-mile long Caribbean island. Some of our favorite beach properties offer a variety of activities in San Pedro, a fishing-village-turned-dive-destination where golf carts are more common than cars on the sandy cobblestone streets. Couples staying in one of the many beach front resorts can relax on their private veranda overlooking the sea. One of the most popular snorkeling couples trip is swimming with the stingrays and nurse sharks at Shark Ray Alley, or for the serious diver and snorkeling a visit the Blue Hole together to peer into the top of an ancient underwater cave with a collapsed roof.
After exploring this underwater world with your partner, experience some of the great local restaurants dining on fresh fish, local beans and rice while sipping on a Belikin beer. Belize is a great destination to un-connect to the world and rekindle your relationship with your partner.
